Special Service Campaign for the Driver Side Inner Belt inspection/replacement on certain Toyota Prius Models
|Prius||82||June 6, 1997||to||August 17, 1999|
In the driver seat belt reminder system, due to an improper assembly of the electrical contacts in the reminder switch, there is a possibility that abnormal wear at the contacts may occur after repeated use of the seat belt and residue may be deposited. In this condition, the seat belt reminder could not be turned off even when the seat belt is correctly fastened due to a short circuit between the contacts.
Customers will be notified by Toyota Motor Philippines Team through Official Notification Letter and will be invited by authorized Toyota Dealerships to inspect and/or replace the driver side seat inner belt with a new one at NO COST. Customers may also check if the TOYOTA vehicle is included in any active Service Campaign at https://online.toyota.com.ph/service-campaign.
Customers with vehicles included in the service campaign are highly encouraged to immediately set an appointment with any authorized Toyota dealer to perform the necessary vehicle repairs to prevent problems from occurring.
