Special Service Campaign for the Engine Valve Spring inspection/replacement on certainToyota 86 Models

The condition is due to improper valve train design inside the engine, excessive stress is generated comparedto the design condition. A very small impurity amount within the spring material composition is not avoidablein the manufacturing process. The excessive stress combined with the dispersion of the impurity within thecomposition of the valve spring material under normal course of manufacturing may cause the valve springto fracture. If a valve spring fractures, it may result in engine stalling and the inability to restart the vehicle,increasing the risk of a crash.

Customers will be notified by Toyota Motor Philippines Team through Official Notification Letter and will beinvited by authorized Toyota Dealerships to inspect and/or replace the Engine Valve Spring with a new oneat NO COST. Customers may also check if the TOYOTA vehicle is included in any active Service Campaign at https://online.toyota.com.ph/service-campaign.

Customers with vehicles included in the service campaign are highly encouraged to immediately set an appointment with any authorized Toyota dealer to perform the necessary vehicle repairs to prevent problems from occurring.
